Terms & privacy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Posting is not available yet. This page explains the terms that apply when you use the Posting website or join its waiting list, and how we use the personal data collected through the site.

Terms of use

About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Posting website, including the waiting list and everything published on it. By using the site or joining the waiting list, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The site is operated by David Brian Carr Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14573122 ("we", "us" and "our"). Posting is an upcoming product of that company.

A waiting list, not a product or service

The site is currently a way to register your interest in Posting. Joining the waiting list does not create an account, make you a customer, reserve access, or guarantee that Posting will launch with any particular feature, price, date or availability.

Nothing on this site is accounting, tax, legal, financial or other professional advice. It must not be relied on as such. You should take advice on your own circumstances before acting or deciding not to act.

Using this site or joining the waiting list does not create an accountant–client relationship, a software-service contract or any other professional relationship with us. Any future use of Posting will be subject to the product terms made available before you create an account or provide product data.

What the site does not do

The site does not currently accept books, accounting records, filing data or other financial information. It does not prepare accounts or returns, submit anything to HMRC or Companies House, monitor deadlines, or provide a filing or accounting service.

Please do not send us financial records, client data or confidential information through the waiting list.

Accuracy and availability

We may change, suspend or withdraw the site, the waiting list or any planned aspect of Posting at any time. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, secure, error-free, complete or suitable for a particular purpose.

Intellectual property and acceptable use

The site, its content, design and branding are owned by or licensed to us. You may view the site for your own internal, non-commercial purposes and share links to it. You must not copy, scrape, reproduce, sell or commercially exploit its content or branding without our written permission.

You must use the site lawfully. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with the site, or use it in a way that could damage it or anyone else's use of it.

Links and third-party services

The site may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. A link does not mean that we endorse that third party.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business interruption, loss of opportunity and loss of data.

If we are nevertheless found liable to you in connection with this site, our total liability will be limited to £100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Governing law and changes

These terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version and last-updated date will appear on this page.

We do not ask for, receive or use accounting records, tax information, financial information or client data through this site. Please do not send it to us through the waiting list.

Who receives your data

We do not sell your personal data or share it for anyone else's marketing. We use service providers to run the website, manage the waiting list and measure consented website use. They receive only the information needed to provide those services.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we use safeguards recognised by UK data-protection law. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Cookies and your choices

We use essential browser storage to remember your cookie choice and keep the site working. This does not require consent.

If you accept analytics cookies, we use them to measure how the site is used. We do not load analytics before you accept, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can decline just as easily as you can accept, and you can change your mind at any time using the cookie controls on this site.

How long we keep it

We keep your waiting-list email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We may retain a minimal suppression record where needed to make sure we honour an unsubscribe or deletion request.

Analytics data is kept for the period set in our analytics account. Security logs are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for security and fault investigation.

Your rights and choices

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, or transfer it to another provider. You can withdraw your waiting-list consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us at david@carraccountingstudio.co.uk.

We normally respond to a rights request within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Security and changes

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data, but no website or transmission over the internet is completely secure. We may update this notice when the site or the law changes; the latest version and date will appear here.
